What’s on this weekend? 20th to 22nd January

We’ve been updating our events section over the last few weeks and we’ve started to add more events. Events happening this weekend include:

Submit an Event to Dublinbynumbers

Dublinbynumbers has added a new feature that allows event organisers and promoters to submit events to the site. Up until recently we have had limited capacity to add events on Dublinbynumbers, however we hope that this new feature will mean that we will have much more capacity to list and promote events. We will be making a few tweaks over the next few weeks, but we’ve decided to roll it out in beta -mode for the next few weeks.

Submit and event to Dublinbynumbers

The new service is totally free, but please note:

  • The service is still in beta mode, so any feedback welcome!
  • Events must be in Dublin
  • We ask that event descriptions are unique to Dublinbynumbers where possible.  Google penalises duplicate content on the web so we prefer to avoid content that is elsewhere. We can help rewrite content if required. If you are submitting content that is published elsewhere please let us know.

If you have a question or any feedback please let us know!

You can contact us here.

New Look Events Section on Dublinbynumbers

We’ve been making quite a few changes to Dublinbynumbers over the last few months. Not least we now have a new look Dublin events section. In our previous incarnation we were only able to show a small number of events and festivals in Dublin, but now the sky is the limit. Users can search by event category such as Dublin festivals, events for kids, business events and so on.

We’re still working on developing the section further and we hope to add events on a regular basis. An event submission form/login facility is also in the pipeline. If you have any events in Dublin you’d like to add please give us a shout and we’ll see what we can do!

New Deals Section on Dublinbynumbers

Dublinbynumbers now brings together a number deals in Dublin from a variety of different deal sites such as Groupon, Pigsback and others. These sites work on the principle that if you get enough people together you get huge saving on services and products (up to 90% in some cases). Groupon is the leader in the field and is in the enviable position of being the fastest growing company in the world; recently turning down a $6 Billion offer from Google.

Many more small deal sites have now sprung up, however it can be difficult to keep track of deals in your area. Dublinbynumbers is offering a new service that allows you to get a variety of Dublin based deals in one place. Head over to our deal aggregator and sign up with our simple email subscription form for more local Dublin deals.

Street Performance World Championship – Wheres Wally World Record Launch 2011

Street Performance World Championships in Dublin have thought up an extremely entertaining way of raising funds for a good cause. During the festival organisers are hoping to beat the Where’s Wally World Record. A high resolution photo will be used to capture the first ever real-life Where’s Wally picture.

The festival will take place in Dublin on the 18th and 19th of June 2011.

Go on, be a Wally!

Christmas Trees and Toy Shops

We have added a couple of Christmasy categories on Dublinbynumbers, these include Christmas trees , Christmas shops and most importantly a Dublin toy shop category. Some of these categories are a bit thin on the gound in terms of listings, so if you know of a Christmas shop or Christmas tree seller near you please let us know!

Business Centre on Dublin By Numbers

I have put together some resources for businesses in Dublin. The new Business Centre allows business owners to carry out a number of tasks on Dublinbynumbers. Businesses can now:

I’m particularly happy with the Business Resource Centre and the Internet Marketing as they bring together a lot of different resources in the one place.
